Meet Our Staff of Dog Trainers

I absolutely love dog training and have been a dog trainer since I was 19yrs old. My interest began when I saw a German Shepherd in a magazine and decided to purchase her. I then read everything I could to ensure my Blaze was the best. She went on to become a PPD Level 3 (Personal Protection Dog).

I was lucky enough to get a very qualified dog trainer to take me under his wing. Everyone referred to him as the Dog Whisperer. He taught me all the techniques he used for Schutzhund which is a prominent dog sport (Protection, Tracking, and Obedience).

Training was originally a hobby. I trained for multiple friend’s and family members and then started receiving requests from their friends and associates. In the last two years I have dedicated myself into making training my profession along with my staff of dog trainers in my town of Westlake.

I trained horses and our livestock dogs growing up but decided this would be a good career opportunity with Kisha in October 2018 when I joined her dog trainers staff in Westlake, La.  I was a practicing nurse in the hospitals for over 18 years. I am now back in school to further my degrees. 

I believe that pets are a healthy “medicine” for a lot of psychological concerns and traumatic injury. My Schatzi has helped me through difficult times. I use my psychology knowledge everyday in training to help handlers and their dogs become a team.

I have been assisting with training at Kisha’s Kommands since joining the staff of dog trainers in 2019. I enjoy teaching and helping others train and perfect K9 skills for personal protection. Call me crazy but I have fun being a decoy for those K9s to bite and drag around.  

I have been in law enforcement for 9 1/2yrs and have knowledge of K9 apprehension and tracking. 

I have dedicated my life to protecting others and this is my way of showing and teaching others to have protection for themselves.
